PIAST AI Factory

Objective

The PIAST AI Platform (PIAST AIF) is a national initiative aimed at building a specialised artificial intelligence ecosystem in Poland. It will offer state-of-the-art AI-optimized hardware infrastructure alongside a comprehensive suite of complementary services to support effective and widespread AI adoption across various sectors. Designed to serve a diverse range of users—including small startups, public institutions, and research and educational organizations—PIAST AIF will ensure that AI capabilities are accessible regardless of an entity’s current expertise or resources. Key services will include sector-specific AI applications, technical consulting, specialised training, and Software as a Service (SaaS). These offerings are essential in helping users integrate AI into their operations, especially for SMEs and resource-constrained sectors that often face technical and skills-related challenges. PIAST AIF will support a variety of applications, such as medical image analytics, real-time production monitoring in industry, and AI-based tools for data analysis and document management in public administration. It will also promote the use of AI in agriculture (e.g., satellite data analysis and crop forecasting) and transportation (e.g., traffic optimisation and fleet management), fostering digital transformation and sustainable growth across sectors. In addition, the platform will provide access to testing environments, algorithm libraries, and pre-built datasets, enabling users to prototype and validate AI solutions efficiently and cost-effectively. This will greatly support innovation, particularly among start-ups and research centres. PIAST AIF is also dedicated to community-building through initiatives such as hackathons, conferences, and peer networks that encourage knowledge-sharing and collaboration. All these efforts will help cultivate high-tech job opportunities and strengthen Poland’s AI ecosystem.
