Objective

The ERC-PoC INCREASER project aims at revolutionizing industrial practice in terms of computer-based monitoring and predictive maintenance applied to complex engineering structures. For this purpose, the core of the project is the development, implementation, and qualification of a multifunctional computational platform that integrates advanced numerical strategies for real-time assimilation of sensor data, reliable diagnosis and prognosis from on-the-fly model updating and enrichment, as well as safe command synthesis. This platform will facilitate a dynamic bidirectional interaction between physical and virtual assets. It will promote hybrid twinning by mixing data-driven and physics-based computational approaches, and by incorporating prior engineering expertise. Commercial applications for multiple end users are already identified. The platform will be made accessible by licensing, with sufficient flexibility to be easily connectable to existing industrial software environments, and customizable to specific practical needs. During the project, a first application of the proposed cutting-edge digital tool will be conducted on offshore wind energy assets by taking advantage of an active academic/industrial existing collaboration. This benchmark will illustrate the platform enhanced capabilities and demonstrate its overall interest for further use in various companies.
